Chest of drawers from France from the Louis XVI period. This 18th century piece is made of solid fruitwood construction, primarily walnut and cherrywood. It has been finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. There are two dovetailed drawers each featuring cast bronze pulls. The drawers have a parquetry façade for added detail and depth. We were drawn to the quality of craftsmanship of this piece. The chest is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
