Buffet/cabinet from France in the Directoire style. This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany, that has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. Brass trim and décor can be found throughout. Below the top dovetailed drawer are two doors that open to interior shelving. This piece is topped with a green “Pietra Verde” marble slab original to the chest. It is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
