A handsome set of four armchairs in the French Art Deco tradition, constructed in dark ebonized wood and upholstered in a soft celadon green textile.

Each chair features a shaped upholstered back framed in dark wood and centered by a delicate embroidered botanical motif. Angular arms descend into elegantly tapered front legs, giving the chairs a strong architectural quality while maintaining refined proportions.

The contrast between the deep ebonized finish and muted green upholstery is particularly elegant, while the restrained ornament and geometric construction speak to the sophisticated decorative vocabulary of the Art Deco period. The set is reminiscent of iconic creator Jules Leleu.

This set is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
