A sophisticated pair of contemporary Murano glass sconces combining sculptural olive-green glass, 24 carat gold inclusions and darkened brass. The upper section of each sconce features a substantial hand-blown Murano glass element in a subtle olive-green tone. Its surface is worked with closely spaced horizontal ribs, creating remarkable depth and movement within the glass. The rhythmic striations gently distort and refract the light, while the slightly irregular hand-worked edges emphasize the artisinal nature of each piece.

Below, a beautifully ribbed spherical glass element is enriched with 24-karat gold flecks using the traditional Venetian avventurina technique, introducing a discreet shimmer and warmth. The glass elements are joined by darkened brass fittings and mounted against a similarly patinated brass backplate, providing a sophisticated contrast to the luminous glass.

The combination of strong architectural geometry, richly worked surfaces and traditional Murano techniques gives these sconces a distinctly contemporary character while remaining deeply rooted in the Venetian glassmaking tradition.
