Pair of pendant chandeliers from the island of Murano outside of Venice, Italy. Each pendant is crafted with four petals hanging from a chromed steel structure. The petals are made of hand-blown glass with smoked and clear glass. We love the iconic design created by Carlo Nason for Mazzega. Each hangs from a cable with a black chord and has a chrome finished canopy. The chandeliers have been newly wired to US standards. The price listed is for the pair, they are individually priced at $5200 each. The fixtures are in excellent vintage condition – the photos accurately depict the condition.

Designer Carlo Nason grew up in a family of glass blowers and began working on the island of Murano at the age of 11. Nason was inspired by the clean lines of Japanese art and wanted to craft modern glass fixtures. He worked with Mazzega for many years to produce these exquisite designs – many of which are considered iconic. Mazzega was opened on the island of Murano in 1946. Founded by Gianni Bruno Mazzega, the companies focus was to use the centuries-old techniques of the glass blowing traditions to craft modern luxury lighting. They continue to be one of the most sought after furnaces on the island.
