Buffet from France in the Louis XVI style. This enfilade is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. It has been finished with a hand-painted milk paint in a dove gray Trianon color. There are four hand-carved doors that open to interior shelving. The French sideboard doors showcase finely cast gilt brass hardware and trim. The doors have working locks and two keys. There are four dovetailed drawers with brass pulls as well, and brass trim can be found throughout. This important enfilade is supported by turned, tapered legs that are capped with brass feet. The buffet supports an original, intact Carrara marble slab. It is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
