French “Semainier” in the Louis XVI style, the neoclassical cabinet features 7 dovetailed drawers (one for each day of the week, “semaine” means week in French). The Semainier was crafted in solid Mahogany, ebonized and finished with a lustrous Museum quality French polish, oak is the secondary wood. The cabinet is topped with an intact and original Carrara white marble slab. “Toupies” feet, fluted sides and gilt brass hardware and trims throughout. The piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
