Buffet from France in the Louis XVI style. This cabinet  is crafted in solid and veneer mahogany that has been hand-painted in a light dove “Trianon” blue gray color. The demilune shape is a classic French detail. The sides of the base are open, allowing for aesthetic functionality while the central compartment is closed with fluted doors. Inside is wooden shelving. There are two dovetailed drawers at the top. The hardware on all is gilt brass. The open shelving also includes open brass galleries. The buffet is supported by four toupee fluted legs with finely cast brass feet. The sideboard has an intact Calacatta Viola marble slab top. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
