This finely crafted French antique Louis XVI style semainier is made of cherry wood and painted a white milk paint. Named semainier after the French word “semaine” for week, this piece has seven drawers, one per day of the week. The white color is accented with fluting flanking the drawers and on the tapered legs. All of the hardware is solid brass. Below the second drawer from the top is a pull out leaf with a forest green leather writing surface, and gold leaf accents. We love the efficiency of this lovely case piece.

This piece is in very nice antique condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
