Pair of armchairs by Tito Agnoli designed for Matteo Grassi in 1979. These Italian chairs feature a metal frame and high-quality stitched leather in a warm burgundy tone. They are very comfortable and stable. We especially love the beautiful stitching on the leather. They are in excellent vintage condition – the photos accurately depict the condition.
Originally born in Lima, Peru, Tito Agnoli moved to Italy shortly after World War II. He trained as a painter prior to studying architecture in Milan. After graduation in 1959, he was an assistant to Gio Ponti and Carlo de Carli before working with many furniture companies such as Poltrona Frau, Cinova, and more. He was globally recognized and nominated for two “Compasso d’Oro” prizes. His work is in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
