Chest of drawers from the Louis Philippe period in France. This chest is crafted from beautifully burled walnut and has the classic four dovetailed drawer design. The bottom three drawers have bronze hardware, while the fourth is hidden as part of the apron. There are working locks and keys. It has been finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. Atop the chest, an original, intact Sainte Anne marble slab provides the finishing touch. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
