Chest of drawers from the Louis XVI period in France. This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. It has been finished with a hand-applied rubbed pigment and carnauba wax. There are three dovetailed drawers, each featuring gold-leafed trim. The brass pulls and escutcheons are all original. The four tapered feet are all capped with brass. This chest is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
