French Louis XVI style desk made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. It has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. The table is covered in gilt brass trim and décor throughout. It is supported by tapered legs capped with bronze feet. The top has a lovely green leather writing surface enriched with an embossed gold leaf design. There are three dovetailed drawers with working locks and two keys that add storage for this sophisticated piece. There are pullout leaves on each end to provide additional writing surface. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
