It is signed S. Melani on the back of the statue. The figure includes stylized detail typical of the time period and Melani’s work.
Salvatore Melani was an Italian sculptor who worked in France. He was born in 1902 and died in 1934. He is well known for his statues that depict male warriors, panthers, and female figures.
