Pair of chests from Italy featuring the original salmon colored paint and a wonderful patina. The paint has wear consistent with age and shows a beautiful, warm golden undertone beneath. They are made of solid wood construction. Each chest has three dovetailed drawers. The drawers have wood knobs painted to match and keyholes. Each chest features one key and working locks. They are supported by tapered, squared legs. The price listed is for the pair, though they could be sold separately for $5750 each. They are in excellent antique condition structurally – the photos accurately portray the condition and the wear to the paint.
