An elegant pair of French Louis XVI style side tables or nightstands featuring ebonized wood cases, brass detailing and white marble tops.
Each table contains three drawers outlined with fine gilt-brass trim and fitted with petite brass pulls. The marble top is surrounded by a delicate pierced brass gallery, an especially refined detail that lends the pair the character of traditional French tables de chevet. Slender tapered legs terminate in brass sabots.
The restrained palette of black, white and gold gives these tables an exceptionally versatile quality. Beautiful beside a bed, they could equally serve as end tables flanking a sofa.
This pair is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
