Secretary, drop front desk, French, in the Louis XVI Style. This cabinet is finished in a lustrous museum quality ebonized French polish. There are four exterior dovetailed drawers with gilt brass trim and hardware throughout. The drop front is lined with an original red gilt embossed leather that serves as a writing surface. There are two small dovetailed drawers inside to enhance the work space. This piece is topped with an intact Carrara marble slab.
