Mirror from the Louis Philippe period if France. This mirror features the original mercury mirror within the classic Louis Philippe molded frame with curved upper corners. The frame is made of solid wood that has been hand chiseled and stuccoed. The mirror boasts  detailing of a floral motif. There is an undertone coating of sienna glaze covered with a patinated 24 carat gold leafing. It is in excellent antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
