Bronze bust of Jean Mermoz, signed by French sculptor Charles Ruchot (1880-1925) from the Art Deco period. Jean Mermoz was a famous French aviator who crossed the Atlantic for the first time on board a seaplane in May of 1930. He is immortalized in this important green patina bronze bust by Charles Ruchot. This piece is supported by an ebonized wood base. It is in very nice vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
