An impressive French Belle Époque crystal chandelier, circa 1910, conceived in the refined Louis XVI taste and distinguished by its generous scale, elaborate crystal work and beautifully architectural construction.

The chandelier is organized around a richly ornamented circular gilt-bronze frame, from which rises an elegant arrangement of scrolling crystal arms. Each sculptural arm is draped with graduated strands of faceted crystal beads and pendants, creating an exceptionally luminous and layered composition.

At the center, a tall cylindrical crystal structure rises above the principal frame, crowned by a decorative coronet of finely molded glass leaves. Below, numerous strands of faceted crystals descend in a graceful basket formation, terminating in a dense fringe of elongated crystal drops. Additional crystal prisms suspended around the perimeter enhance the chandelier's brilliance and movement.

The contrast between the warm patinated gilt-metal framework and the clarity of the cut and molded crystal gives the chandelier a particularly sophisticated presence. Its symmetrical composition, scrolling motifs and classical detailing reflect the renewed appreciation for 18th-century French decorative arts during the Belle Époque.

This fixture is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
