Chest of drawers or “commode” made of flamed mahogany in the French Empire style. This piece has ebonized columns and is finished in a lustrous French polish. There are four dovetailed drawers featuring finely cast gilt bronze hardware. Atop the piece is the original “turquin” marble top.
