Petite cabinet from France in the Louis XVI style. This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. It has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. There is one dovetailed drawer with brass trim and two brass pulls cast as stylized laurel wreaths. Below, there are two doors that open to interior wood shelving. The doors are also trimmed with brass and have small brass pulls. The cabinet features floral brass décor on the bottom, and brass décor of draped fabric reminiscent of draped Roman fabric on each side. The top is a Carrara marble slab encircled by an open brass gallery. The cabinet is supported by tapered, fluted legs capped with brass feet. It is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
