Buffet from France in the Louis XVI style. This enfilade is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. It has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. There are four hand-carved doors. The doors open to adjustable interior wood shelving. The doors showcase finely cast gilt brass hardware. The doors have working locks and three keys. There are four dovetailed drawers with brass pulls as well, and brass trim can be found throughout. This piece is supported by turned; tapered legs that are capped with brass feet. The buffet supports an original Carrara marble slab. It is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
