Buffet from France in the Louis XVI style. This piece is made of striped mahogany with striking hand-crafted detail throughout. There are four doors that open to interior shelving. In the traverse the four dovetailed drawers are adorned with the finest gilt bronze frieze of waves in the “à L’Etrusque” style. This fine cabinet is supported by fluted “toupies” legs and columns. 24 carats gold-leafing and ridged brass detailing throughout. This extremely well-crafted buffet boasts an original Carrara marble slab top. The buffet is finished with a lustrous French polish finish. The marble thickness is 1.75". The front of the buffet measures 91.25" in length.
