Chest of drawers from France in the Louis XVI style. This piece is made of solid mahogany construction that has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. There are four dovetailed drawers – two top, smaller drawers above two larger drawers. All the drawers feature gilt brass pulls. The chest is supported by four fluted legs with brass feet. The chest also features an intact Carrara marble slab top. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
