Buffet from France in the Empire style. This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany that has been finished with a lustrous French polish of museum-quality. The enfilade supports a beautiful intact black marble slab original to the buffet. The body of this sideboard boasts gilt bronze detailing throughout including stylized leaves, wreaths, and more. The four doors open to interior wood shelving and have original working locks and keys. There are four drawers above with finely cast bronze pulls. This case piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
