Writing desk from the Art Deco period in France and in the Empire style. This piece is finished with an ebonized museum-quality French polish. The top is covered in an original tan leather writing surface with a gold-leafed embossed trim. The desk has two dovetailed drawers of gilded brass pulls. It is adorned with brass Grecian details above the tapered legs. There is a pull-out leaf on each end to expand the working surface.
